Cours de cuisine
Balinese cuisine is rich, aromatic, and surprisingly accessible to learn. Cooking classes typically start with a market tour to select fresh ingredients, followed by hands-on preparation in an open-air kitchen.
What You’ll Cook
Most classes cover 4–6 dishes: sate lilit (minced seafood satay), lawar (spiced vegetable salad), nasi campur (mixed rice), and dessert.
Options végétariennes
Many cooking schools offer vegetarian and vegan menus showcasing Bali’s abundant tropical vegetables and tofu/tempeh dishes.
Market Tours
Visit a traditional market with your instructor to learn about local ingredients, spices, and how to pick the freshest produce.
