Full Moon Ceremony

Full Moon Ceremony — a traditional Balinese Hindu ritual held at REVĪVŌ Resort in Nusa Dua, honouring the full moon through prayer, offerings, and meditation. The ceremony follows authentic Balinese Hindu traditions led by local temple priests (pemangku), offering guests a rare opportunity to participate in a genuine spiritual practice in a resort setting.

The ceremony includes the preparation and placement of intricate banten (offerings) made from woven palm leaves, flowers, and rice, accompanied by the sprinkling of holy water (tirta) and the burning of incense. Participants receive blessings from the priest and can make personal prayers and intentions. The ceremony takes place at sunset, timed to align with the moonrise over the ocean.

Visitor tips: The ceremony is open to hotel guests and external visitors by reservation. Modest attire is required — sarongs and sashes are provided at the venue. Arrive 15 minutes early for a brief explanation of the ceremony’s significance. Photography is permitted but avoid using flash during prayers.
