Bali Social & Language Exchange

Bali Social & Language Exchange — a weekly community gathering for language practice and cross-cultural connection. Held every Thursday evening at Rosey Murphy’s in Seminyak, this event welcomes locals, expats, and travellers looking to practice languages in an informal, friendly setting.

From 7 PM to 9 PM, participants chat in pairs and small groups, rotating between Indonesian, English, and other languages depending on interest. The atmosphere is relaxed and social — no structured lessons, just genuine conversation over drinks. Regulars include Indonesian locals practicing English, expats learning Bahasa Indonesia, and travellers picking up useful phrases for their journey.

How it works: Upon arrival, grab a name tag and indicate which languages you speak and which you’re learning. Tables are informally organised by language. Feel free to move between groups throughout the evening.

Who should attend: Anyone interested in language learning, cultural exchange, or meeting new people in Bali. All levels welcome — from complete beginners to fluent speakers. No cover charge.
