A half-day journey into the sacred river-side waterfall of Kanto Lampo, where Balinese melukat purification rituals have been practiced for centuries. The path descends past terraced rice fields and ancient banyan trees before reaching the cascading curtain of spring water that gives the site its name. Visitors walk directly into the shallow pool beneath the falls — the only major waterfall in Bali where this is possible — to experience the cool mineral water that locals travel from across the island to bathe in. A local pemangku (temple priest) joins the tour to explain the spiritual significance of the site and the role of water temples in Balinese cosmology.
