Bali Sunrise Yoga & Meditation Session in Ubud Rice Fields
Start your day with intention, surrounded by nothing but rice paddies and birdsong. This 2-hour morning yoga session takes place on a purpose-built bamboo platform suspended over the edge of a working rice terrace in the heart of Ubud’s green belt. Mats, bolsters, and blankets are provided — just bring yourself and an open mind.
The session begins with guided breathwork as the sun crests the valley ridge. A certified yoga instructor leads a gentle flow suitable for all levels — moving through standing poses, hip openers, twists, and a guided savasana that leaves you feeling grounded and centred. After the practice, a cup of locally grown ginger tea is served while you sit quietly and watch farmers tend to the paddies below. The experience ends with a short walking tour through the rice field, where your guide explains the subak irrigation system and the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana — the Balinese principle of harmony between people, nature, and the divine.
