Bali Countryside Cycling Tour: Rice Fields, Villages & Hidden Waterfalls
Pedal through the real Bali on this gentle cycling tour that takes you off the tourist trail and into the heart of rural life. Starting from a village just north of Ubud, you are fitted with a quality mountain bike and helmet before following your guide along narrow paths that wind between emerald rice paddies, through bamboo groves, and past family compounds where children wave and farmers pause to smile.
The route is predominantly downhill or flat — no intense climbing required. Along the way, stop at a local temple to receive a blessing from a priest, visit a family compound to see how palm sugar is made, and refuel with fresh coconut water and seasonal tropical fruit. The finale is a swim at a hidden waterfall accessible only by footpath, where you can cool off beneath the cascade before a relaxed lunch at a village home — cooked by the family using ingredients grown within sight of your table.
Includes: Mountain bike, helmet, local guide, temple visit, refreshments, lunch, waterfall swim, hotel transfers (Ubud area). Duration: 4–5 hours.
